The wide open meadows of the Hunewill Ranch, bordered by spectacular mountain peaks, offer world class horseback riding. Beginning, intermediate, advanced, and adult walking rides go out at 9:00 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m. Rides are not nose to tail, and loping is offered to all who want to experience it. Moving cattle is available at least once during every stay. Those who want more cattle work should try one of the following stays; Spring Cattle Work, Fall Cattle Work, Big Fall Cattle Gather, or Hunewill Ranch Cattle Drive in November. Private horse corrals are provided for those who prefer to bring their own horse. Evening activities include roping practice, square dancing, hay ride, talent night, game night, colt gentling, and campfire with singing. Hiking, fishing, and site seeing are also available. Guests stay in comfortable cottages with private bath and porch. Upscale home style meals are served in the dining room which is part of the original Victorian style ranch house, built in 1880. Just four hours north of the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and an easy three hours south of Reno, Nevada, is Bishop California. Point Reyes Country Inn & Stables
