The Bar W Guest Ranch is a dude ranch near Glacier National Park, ready to treat you to true Montana hospitality from the moment you arrive until long after the sun sets. Nestled between two pine-covered ridges in an idyllic setting at the base of Spencer Mountain, this 140 acre ranch is located just a stone’s throw from the vibrant town of Whitefish, Glacier National Park, and Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort.

The Bar W is an intimate guest ranch that currently hosts up to 24 riders per week, plus the addition of non-riders and children. All guests experience a 6-night, all-inclusive package stay. Horseback riding is core to a week at the Bar W and with our proximity to public land, we are able to ride on many thousands of acres. Other ranch and area activities are boundless as we provide our guests a full western themed vacation complete with hatchet throwing, archery, canoeing, roping, cattle drives, rodeo games, wagon rides, line dancing, branding, campfires, cowboy singing and so much more. After a long day on the saddle, or hiking through the pristine forest, sit back, relax, or soak in the hot tub. Let Montana surround you with its big skies, amazing wildlife, and simple serenity.

Just four hours north of the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and an easy three hours south of Reno, Nevada, is Bishop California. Tucked away in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains is the home base for one of the area’s premier wilderness adventures, Rock Creek Pack Station. Rock Creek Pack Station is a family friendly operation that guides camping trips through the Sierra Nevada Wilderness and Yosemite National Park. This is just the place to take your summer vacation to a whole new level. With multiple riding and hiking trail options they are sure to have a trip to fit most any need. Track wild horses and relive the Old West in the seldom-visited Pizona area of the lnyo National Forest. From a central meadow camp, riders will track the mustangs in their natural forest habitat. Observe and photograph herds and wildflowers. Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the Sierra and White Mountains while the cook prepares dinner over an open fire.
