Twombly Horse Sale July 30th in Cheyenne, Wyoming!

The sale was held in Cheyenne during the Frontier Days Rodeo, in front of the Train Plaza! The preview was held at the Laramie County Fairgrounds just outside of Cheyenne.

We had a fantastic sale! The all-time high selling gelding record was broke and we had one of the strongest averages ever! We would like to thank all who participated in the bidding from 35 states!!! We made nearly 90 phone bids to those who couldn’t be there. The sale was auctioned off once again by Sammy Hamblen of Colorado. “Revolver” a 4 yr old buckskin son of “Gunner” became our all-time high selling horse! He fetched an $85,000 dollar bid sight unseen from a lovely lady back in Maryland. After much studying of the horses and visiting with us on the phone, Cynthia knew he was the horse for her! This gorgeous gelding has had reining training and is a gem to ride on the ranch. As cute as he can be and a good minded boy! She will have one of the coolest buckskins there ever was!

“Yowza” – Second Highest Seller

“Yowza” lot 14 stops in the sale ring to get a quick pet from our 3 year old granddaughter, Hayslee! The beautiful 3 yr old palomino OWN son of Hollywood Dun It was as gentle and broke as can be! He sold to repeat customers from California for a final bid of $55,000! Miss Pem has now purchased six horses from us!

Lot 7 “Bella” was the high selling mare of the night! She sold via phone-sight unseen to a fellow from Miami, Florida for $35,000! The gorgeous 6 yr old chocolate palomino mare is an own daughter of Wimpys Little Step! Mr de Solo purchased Bella as a gift for his wife!

One of the prettiest blue roans we have ever offered for sale was lot 9 “Metallic”.  He is a 5 yr old gelding that had been ridden on the ranch! He sold for a bid of $25,000 and heads for his new home in Arizona!

The beautiful little paint gelding we call “Puzzle” also brought in a bid of $25,000 from repeat customers of California! The cute little black and white gelding was pretty as a picture and just a fun little horse to be around! He sold at lot 18!

Also bringing in a bid of $25,000 was a drop dead gorgeous 5 yr old palomino gelding called “Stunner” He was bred to be the best and always looked the best, too! Selling to some good folks and repeat buyers from Washington! He and Tangled will make a great pair!

One of the prettiest buckskins there is! Lot 4 “Coolit”.  An own son of Dun It Gotta Gun was as broke and gentle as can be! He brought in a bid of $23,000 and will make his new home in California! One of a kind for sure!

Starting the sale off was “Sniper”. He is a beautiful 5 yr old chestnut gelding by the great Gunner! This guy was a finished reiner and gentle for all! Final bid was $23,000 and he heads for Montana!

Tripp’s (our 4 yr old grandson) favorite horse was lot 13 “Sketcher”.  This fancy buckskin gelding was just a 6 yr old and super super gentle for everyone! He sold for $20,000 and makes Colorado his new home!
