South Point Arena & Equestrian Center Welcomes Back The Las Vegas National Horse Show Nov. 14 – 19

Show jumpers from around the world will compete in the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Las Vegas for the $100,000 prize on Saturday Nov. 18

The Las Vegas National Horse Show (Nov. 14 – 19) brings one of the most prestigious equestrian events to Las Vegas with the feature evening, the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Las Vegas, taking place at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Presented by Interactive Mortgage, the horse show displays the incredible partnership between horse and rider as they make their way through the intricately planned course, working to jump each obstacle in the time allowed with no penalties. Those who make it to the next round will compete in the jump-off, a test of speed where the fastest horse and rider with the fewest penalties will gallop away with the win.

“The magic in this competition is seeing men and women compete equally, and the skill, accuracy and speed these athletes and their horses possess as they go through the course,” said Melissa Brandes of Blenheim EquiSports, producer of the Las Vegas National Horse Show. “We’re thrilled to be back in Las Vegas and at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center, which offers the premier facility for both athletes and their horses to compete in, and we’re excited to see which rider comes out on top.”

This year, riders will be competing to qualify for a spot in the upcoming Longines FEI World Cup™ Finals, which takes places in Paris in 2018. Notable competitors include veterans such as Great Britain’s Olympic gold medalist Ben Maher; French Olympian and European Championships gold medalist, Eric Navet; and up and coming international competitors,Jennifer Gates and Emily Moffitt.
