As we try to navigate through this time of uncertainty, the CHSRA Board has made the difficult decision to postpone ALL CHSRA activities through March 31, no matter the size of the event. We are all aware that new information is shared every day, and in some cases multiple times a day. This decision was made based on information that we had through March 15, and we feel that in the best interest of our members, we need to follow the recommendations to keep our contestants safe.
As much as we would like to continue with our daily routine and finish out our rodeo season as we had scheduled, please remember that there is much information that is unknown, and things are changing constantly. There is a lot of heartbreak out there with many events being canceled, as we know the time, effort and energy that goes into preparing for any type of event; but we also need to be mindful of why these mandates are in place: to help slow the spread of this virus so our medical professionals can be prepared when the peak outbreak happens.
As new information is shared, restrictions and requirements may change. We will make sure to pass on any information that we receive to you.
Remember this quote from Epictetus as we navigate this time, “It is not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.” Keep your heads up and keep practicing!
