Royal Visit for Hallmarq – Queen’s Award Winner for Innovation 2021

As a world leader in providing advanced imaging systems for the veterinary market, this prestigious award recognises the unique and innovative nature of Hallmarq’s 1.5T Small Animal MRI with Q-Care, which was designed from the ground up for small animal veterinary practices. Princess Anne toured the factory and Head Office in Guildford UK, meeting staff from all departments and Hallmarq’s guest, Dr. Kate Richards, President of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Hallmarq Welcomes Dr. Taylor to the Small Animal Advisory Board
Hallmarq extends a warm welcome to Dr. Amanda Taylor who is currently the group medical director at BluePearl in the Southeast region. Dr. Taylor graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University; followed by a small animal internship at Colorado State University, and a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at Texas A&M University.

She has experience as both an academic and a private practice neurologist/neurosurgeon. Dr. Taylor is a past co-editor of Veterinary Clinics of North America and has authored numerous veterinary publications, including topics on stereotactic brain surgery, traumatic injury to the nervous system, and neurosurgery.


Down vs. Standing Equine MRI: What’s the Difference?
Traditional MRI machines are optimized for human anatomy, so they don’t lend themselves very well to use for equine patients. There are applications for down MRI in equine medicine, but it presents complications, too. Read more
