Fremont Street Experience, the six-block entertainment district located in historic downtown Las Vegas, will officially kick off the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo with its free Downtown Hoedown featuring performances by country music stars Scotty McCreery, Lainey Wilson, Neal McCoy and Nate Smith. This celebration will transform the world-famous Fremont Street Experience into a honky-tonk paradise.
Country music fans will flock to Fremont Street to see legendary county music singer, Neal McCoy, get the hoedown started right. McCoy has been cranking out chart-topping country hits since 1990 and has claimed multiple platinum certifications. Fans can catch McCoy perform his most popular country tunes, like “No Doubt About It,” “Wink” and “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On,” on Fremont Street’s Main Street Stage at 5:00 p.m.
Emerging country singer-songwriter, Lainey Wilson, will be kicking it on Fremont Street’s 1st Street Stage at 6:30 p.m. Named as CMT’s “Breakout Artist of the Year” and ACM’s “New Female Artist of the Year” in 2022, Wilson is bringing her fresh and fierce country sound to this year’s Hoedown. Wilson will be performing her top hits, like “Things a Man Ought to Know” and “Heart Like a Truck,” as well as songs off her newest album, “Bell Bottom Country,” which was released late October 2022.
Fremont Street’s 3rd Street stage will be party central with two performances by country music stars, Nate Smith and Scotty McCreery. Up first is the gritty and soulful, Nate Smith, who will take the stage at 8:00 p.m. His thundering vocals will have the crowd singing along to every word as he performs hits like “Whiskey on You,” “Under My Skin,” and “Wildfire.”
In his first concert since becoming a new father, country music superstar Scotty McCreery will close out Downtown Hoedown with an unforgettable headlining performance. The ACM and CMT Award-winning singer/songwriter, whose new expanded album, “Same Truck: The Deluxe Album,” is dropping later this month on vinyl, CD and digital, will take over 3rd Street Stage at 9:00 p.m. Country music fans can dance and sing along to McCreery’s five consecutive No.1 hits like “Damn Strait,” “You Time,” “This is it”, “In Between,” and “Five More Minutes,” as well as his current single “It Matters to Her” and many more.
There’s no better way to celebrate the return of NFR to Las Vegas than Fremont Street Experience’s rockin’ Downtown Hoedown.
