News from the 2016 Farnam Arizona Fall Championship

Phoenix based Farnam will be the shows title sponsor. This is great news for exhibitors! Each back number will receive a gift bag from Farnam with a retail value of over $50! Farnam will also be hosting a series of clinicians at the show. Watch for future announcements on the World caliber individuals who will be delivering a wealth of knowledge to exhibitors, all will be free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Exhibitors have loved the Championship format of the show and this years show will offer the Championship round to all classes. The first time exhibitors show will be to 2 judges and the second time to 4 judges. The 4 judge round will be a clean slate with the composite placings of the 4 judges tallied to name a Top 5. All awards presentations will be done in the arena. First will be receiving the slate based Az. Fall Championship trophy. This beautiful trophy compliments any living room. Second will also be slate based with a mounted horse head. Third thru fifth in each class will receive logo’d outer wear. Every exhibitor is eligible for the Championship round, no qualifying necessary.  Six sets of AQHA points,  giving exhibitors an early jump on qualifying for AQHA events next year. The show will offer, for the Open and Amateur, Best of Show awards for exhibitors in the All Around classes and also Best of Show awards in the Cattle/Reining and Ranch Riding classes. Check the website for details on these awards.

This years show will offer a host of new classes. In several classes, Level 1 Select Amateurs will be competing in their own classes. Five new classes of All Breed Reining have been added to serve the many Reiners of the show. Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur, Youth, and Novice Youth All Breed Reining classes will be offered at the show as well as a complete slate of AQHA classes. The All Breed Reining classes have an amazingly low entry fee of $32. A great opportunity for Reiners to school or show at a very reasonable price. They will all be offered in the climate controlled Farnam Arena (Equidome). This gives Reiners an opportunity to show each day of the show. An NSBA 3 &4 year old trail futurity with $250 added will also be offered. VRH Trail and VRH Ranch Horse Conformation are exciting additions to this years show. Last years Ranch division had an outstanding turn out and management is expecting the same in 2016. A full set of Cattle classes is again being offered at the show including Cutting, Cow Horse and Roping.  All of the new classes will offer the the full set of Top 5 awards in the Championship round.

An outstanding group of judges have been selected for the show. Officials at this years event will be Tonya Green, Charlene Carter, Rick Meredith, Steve Stephens, Lisa Ligon, Dawn Clason, Rebecca Halvorson, Cliff Kellmer, Allen Mitchells, Doug Ingersoll, Deborah Jones Wright,  Marilyn Randall, Allen Walton and Courtney Fuller.
